Madison Barton currently serves as the Administrative Support Associate for the School of Music at Western Carolina University, where she also teaches adjunct trumpet lessons. In addition to her work at WCU, Madison is pursuing a Doctorate of Music and a Certificate in Arts Administration remotely through Florida State University. She holds a Master of Music from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Music from Texas A&M University–Commerce. Madison was a member of the Faculty Brass Quintet at both the University of Kentucky and Florida State University.
An active performer, Madison has appeared internationally with the Capital City Brass Quintet in Costa Rica, the Polychroma Brass Quintet in Greece, and the Florida State University Symphony Orchestra in the Dominican Republic. Regionally, she performs with the Asheville Symphony, Brevard Philharmonic, WCU Faculty Brass Quintet, and throughout Western North Carolina. She has also performed with the Tallahassee Symphony, Tallahassee Community Chorus, Pensacola Symphony, and Panama City Symphony, among others in the North Florida area.
Madison serves as an associate board member for the National Trumpet Competition and has interned with the International Trumpet Guild (ITG). As a contributing member of the ITG, she has published multiple reviews in the ITG Journal. Madison is proud to be a Shires Artist and a Hawkins Mute Affiliate.
